Kot Abra
Art Direction, Design & Video Editing
2020 – for Tori Productions
Description:
Set in 1975, Kot Abra follows a couple facing the painful decision of whether to leave their homeland or stay. My role encompassed art direction, title and poster design, social media visuals, and video editing for the play’s promotion.
Inspiration:
The visual language was deeply influenced by poster design from the mid-1970s, typography, and photography of that era. I wanted the graphics to feel rooted in the time period without becoming nostalgic, echoing the emotional tension of the story.
Collaboration:
Working with Tori Productions, director, and actress Kim Aikman, we developed a cohesive look that reflected both the intimacy and uncertainty of migration and memory. Although the production was not shown at the time due to COVID-19, the process shaped how I approach storytelling through design, grounding emotion in visual history.
